Brookfield Dairy

The main focus of the farm is our goat herd and dairy where we produce a line of products under the trade name “Brookfield Dairy Goat Milk Products”. Our dairy season is from March when the new kids are born and the does begin producing milk, to December when the does are “dried off” to rest for the season. During the dairy season we make cheese, yogurt and bottle raw milk. All of our dairy products are available at our farm store and the fresh cheeses can be found at select local stores and restaurants.*

Meats, Poultry, and Eggs

In addition to the dairy goats we raise kids for chevon (goat meat); pigs for freezer pork, roasters, and piglets; and broilers for fresh-frozen chicken. All of our meat and poultry are raised naturally on grain, hay, pasture and browse. Medications are used only when necessary and we avoid the use of antibiotics. Our meats are sold live and we facilitate the custom processing, packaging, smoking and freezing of your order as needed. Our broilers are sold whole/frozen unless prior arrangements are made to purchase them fresh. We also maintain a small flock of laying hens and offer fresh eggs for sale at our farm store.

Tapper's Maple Syrup

In March of every year we make maple syrup at our sugarhouse. We package our syrup in glass bottles for the highest quality flavor and offer it for sale at our farm store until it is sold out, usually by Christmas.

Firewood

As is typical in New Hampshire, 85% of our land is wooded. We maintain our woodland with select cutting of hardwoods and periodic harvests of pine. Many of our farm buildings are built with pine from our woods. The hardwoods are sold mainly as firewood. We offer seasoned firewood, cut to length, split to your specifications and delivered.

Manure

It happens! We have a continuous supply of fresh manure and an ample supply of composted manure for your gardening needs. Our manure is a mix of goat, swine and poultry manure mixed with sawdust. It makes an excellent topdressing mulch or soil conditioner. Currently we sell by the bucket or bag (byob-you load), pick-up load (your truck, we load) or delivered.
